Well, today on my blog we are going to talk about the decision you never want to make at the age of 18, fresh out of high school, what to study in institute/university?
Many people know what they want to do when they grow up, but when they grow up, their ideas change. That happened to me, since I was little I dreamed of becoming a teacher because I liked teaching my classmates, but when I grew up and saw how they behaved, I regretted it.
I had to make the decision at the age of 18, which if you ask me, in my opinion, is too young an age to choose what to do with your life for the next few years. I remember being in the dilemma of choosing psychology or psychiatry because in recent years several situations led me to become aware of the importance of people's mental health and the important work of these professionals.
Finally, I chose psychology because I realized that psychiatry interested me only because I was influenced by being a "doctor" "medical student" but finding out more, I realized that it was not as close to what I wanted for the rest of my life as psychology was so the decision was finally "easy".
My experience at the University of Chile has been very pleasant, especially being at the Juan Gómez Millas campus, which is very diverse. The subjects I have taken have been to my liking, so far I believe I have not made a mistake in my career, I hope to keep it that way, if not, you will know with a disclaimer on this blog :p
